A quick summary on changes this season

1. The venue has been changed to Concord Sports Centre in Sheffield (Shiregreen Lane, Shiregreen, Sheffield S5 6AE Tel 0114 2570053. Direction on web site www.nmbl.org.uk). It's about 20 minutes' away from Herringthorpe.

2. The court hire fees have gone up to £462 for the day (9 courts booked from 10 am till 6 pm). As a result each team will have to share the above cost and pay the following amount depending on the number of teams on the day:-

It would help if the organiser for the day appoint a deputy to collect the relevant fees from each team and pay the Sport Centre the sum of £462 as soon as practical - definitely before 12 noon. Any cheque should be made payable to Sheffield International Venues (please check that this is correct with the Sport Centre staff).

Any excess over £462 should be kept by the organising county as contribution to the cost of producing the paperwork for the day.

As previous years, if the total number of teams turning up in any event is less than 8, each team will still only have to share the cost of £462 as if there were 8 teams. I will pay for the rest from central funds. I can send the cheque (for £58 for 7 teams or £116 for 6 teams...etc) to the organiser before the event, or reimburse afterwards.

As regards to shuttlecocks, each team needs to provide enough shuttles for the matches they play in.
